This Is Not American

Not the picture... That's very American. I mean the ongoing actions by our Government and private companies which undermine the very purpose of America (to be a land of the free... interpreted here as meaning, being left alone by other people):

How can we say we have liberty if we are watched nearly every moment of our lives. We now have cameras that detect "pre-crime" actions, whatever that is, and highlight would-be offenders with a glowing red no-no light. It seems that Liberty is eroding faster than technology is developing. Computing power is being exploited to reduce your privacy everywhere you turn.

Even in the private sector, "services" that you use collect personal data about identity, location, political interests, things you discuss within the private emails you send or in Google searches you conduct or phone records/contacts you compile and so on, and so on, and so on.

With Google, YouTube and Gmail you can't even opt out of this tracking.

In Texas and several other states, we are using military drones for surveillance on anyone in "public view." New York is in the process of doing the same. Heck, we even have vans that can look through your walls which are actively deployed INSIDE the United States.

POTUS has been advocating for the power to attach GPS units to any civilian vehicle for surveillance purposes, without a warrant. POTUS' attorney's even fought for that power, all the way to the United States Supreme Court. The Supreme Court overturned the power to some degree but only when "long-term GPS surveillance" is conducted.

Liberty and Freedom from Government (or private third-party) involvement in your life is a dying concept. What is even worse, the mere fact that you think this could be true will get you branded as an extremist/potential terrorist.

TCD wishes there were more Oath Keepers in the United States who recognized that this erosion of Liberty is dangerous to us all.
