ATF- Gun Runner Project Update

The head of the ATF (BATFE actually) who was in charge of overseeing project "Fast and Furious" where guns were given to violent criminals by the U.S. Government and not tracked, and which lead to the death of U.S. Custom's Border Agents who were actually trying to keep us safe... has "stepped down" as interim chief of the bureau. No he was not fired, no he was not "demoted." He simply elected to "step down" to a different division within BATFE. Guess what department he'll be in now? The Department of Legal Policy. That's not a joke.

How did the Attorney General react? You might suspect that he'd be upset. I mean Holder is the chief law enforcement guy in the Administration after all. Well if you did think that, you're wrong. Here's what Attorney General Holder had to say, personally, about Mr. Melson:

“As he moves into this new role, I want to thank Ken for his dedication to the department over the last three decades."

“Ken brings decades of experience at the department and extensive knowledge in forensic science to his new role, and I know he will be a valuable contributor on these issues...”

That's not a joke either.
